Overview
The diva of the month program was created to support and nurture female role models. United Divas recognizes women who excel in multiple artistic disciplines. There are many women combining several talents to serve their artistic needs; who captivate the attention of their audiences with their multi-dimensional careers.
You help us by submitting suggestions for women who amaze you with their creativity and career achievements. Then, based on your suggestions, we select future divas of the month who work to achieve and possess the artistic skill sets that position them as cultural leaders.
How do we recruit Divas?
We are looking for women who work within a creative career field. We focus on creative professionals that utilize multiple talents for their projects or who excel in more than one specialty. There are 4 steps United Divas follows to process each application for Diva of the Month:
1 – Application & Portfolio Submission – Visit our Submissions guidelines page for details.
2 – Review – 3 or more people review submission.
3 – 2nd Inquiry – Occasionally United Divas will request additional information.
4 – Notification – United Divas will notify an artist if selected for recognition. At that time, the Diva will be asked to conduct an interview and provide any necessary updates for their gallery on UnitedDivas.com.
Referrals from the Community
We take referrals from anyone, or you can refer yourself if you like. All referrals are accepted, however, applicants making the referral must follow the standard application guidelines.
Benefits & Rewards for “Diva of the Month”
If you are chosen to be a diva, you will get:
- An artist page on UnitedDivas.com where you can link to your online portfolio.
- An email interview for your gallery section.
- A link, with a photo, to your gallery and your interview from the home page of our website for your first two Months as a Diva.
- Inclusion in our events listings & monthly newsletter announcements, as long as you provide updated information for us to use.
- Inclusion in our referrals pool. When someone contacts us for a project that you
might be able to do, you will automatically be included in our referrals. You are not required to be exclusive to United Divas. We are not an agency, just a group of artists sharing resources.
- To participate in our events and workshops that showcases the multiple talents of our divas.
- You can help to support our scholarship fund for students from low-income households to further their education in the arts by increasing awareness for the United Divas cause.
United Divas Inc is the non-profit dedicated to empowering people to be artistic leaders, professionals, innovators and role models for both aspiring and practicing artists, with an emphasis on helping women achieve their goals as a creative professional.
